You may have heard the term “GTCA” used either in your locality or in recent conferences, but what is it? GTCA is an acronym for the burden to “gospelize, truthize and churchize” America, and through much prayer and fellowship, there is a feeling that now is the time to carry that burden out. America needs to be gospelized, truthized, and churchized! Currently, there are only about 250 localities in the United States. The 2000 U.S. Census indicated that there are over 18,000 cities, towns, or villages in the United States. From this, we see that there is a desperate need for the Lord’s testimony to spread.

Over the years, much has been spoken concerning the burden for America—that the high gospel would be preached to unbelievers, that deeper truths would be ministered to Christian seekers, that the churches would gain a numerical increase for the Lord’s recovery, and that His testimony would be spread by the raising up of new local churches through the saints’ migration. This is the burden of GTCA. The burden to gospelize, truthize, and churchize America is not just an endeavor for the coming year, but a long-term work that will require continued labor over the next ten years and beyond, with a goal of raising up 250 new localities in the United States and Canada by 2020.

How will this move be carried out? By many small groups of saints who are knit together and vitally related, who give themselves to pray and labor together on a particular city. To start, 30 groups of saints will be going on two-week trips to 30 selected target cities around the U.S. and Canada. From January 29—February 11, 2011, each team will visit their city and begin to contact the seeking ones and raise up small group meetings in their homes for long-term care. These Sowing Trips aim to seek out the people in each city who are the “good earth” for the Lord to grow in. After the Sowing Trips end, the farming will continue by the shepherding care from local saints near that target city.
