Summer is almost upon us, and with it, the college trainings. This year there will be three college trainings in the U.S. -- one on the West Coast, one on the East Coast, and one in the Midwest. All three trainings will cover the book of Colossians. You can find more information at the college trainings website, which has recently been revamped:
Recently, we posted an article on the prayer of intercession, as well as a podcast by Brother Tom Goetz on the prayer of companions as revealed in Matthew 18. In this article we'd like to look at a section of this chapter in a little more detail.
In principle, no one can get saved unless someone prays for him. Many of us can testify that we were saved because someon-a parent, relative, or friend-faithfully prayed for us. In the same way, the only reason we are still here and going on is that Someone is interceding for us (Heb. 7:25). Today, not only are we the beneficiaries of the prayers of the interceding Christ, but we can also join Him in His interceding for others. As this post by one of our interns explains, this kind of prayer, the prayer of intercession, is one of the greatest privileges of the Christian life.
Why is it that hymns or psalms often encourage us, comfort us, or even move us to tears? The reason is that they express man's deepest and ternderest feelings. The Lord's feelings are fine and tender, and He wants our feelings to be the same. Below is another blog post by one of our past interns on developing these kinds of feelings through singing.
Several weeks ago a few trainees from the Full-Time Training in Anaheim served as interns for Ageturners.com, working on various projects. One of those projects was to add more written content to this site. So one of the interns composed a number of blog entries, which we'll be featuring weekly in this section.

Below are the guidelines for a time with the Lord that Brother Ricky Acosta mentions in podcast #7. Each of the items listed below has suggested amounts of time to spend on that item; the first time is for the 7-minute version of the program, and the time in parentheses is for the 10-minute version. Of course, these times are only guidelines, not rules. So if the Lord leads you to spend more time on a certain item, you should faithfully follow His leading.
