Our Strength to Preach the Gospel

In the matter of the gospel we often times feel inadequate. The way we can overcome this is to be built together with our companions. Ecclesiastes 4 tells us that a threefold cord is not easily broken. Today our gospel preaching should not be individualistic but corporate. What the Lord desires today is that all the brothers and sisters would rise up to preach the gospel, not just the gifted ones. For this we need to be vitally grouped and related to some. Our Relatives and Intimate Friends

We should take the opportunity to speak to our friends regardless of whether or not we think we are qualified and regardless of who we think our friends are. "One characteristic of the church is that it dares to believe in the Lord. Another characteristic is that it dares to confess its faith in Him. To be saved is not just to believe in the Lord Jesus; it is to believe and to confess that one is a believer. The confession is important.

The God-shaped Vacuum

Blaise Pascal once observed that within every man there is a God-shaped vacuum. Today it's very common for people to explain our existence in purely physical terms. Others acknowledge that there is a psychological component to man that interacts with his bodily make-up. These modern-day ideas, however, fail to treat the emptiness in modern man.
