In May 2009, the Lord granted the opportunity for a sister and me to travel to Europe. Our original plan was to visit a family, enjoy ourselves, and have a nice vacation. However, the Lord had other plans for us. We instead got knit and blended with the saints in Europe! I can truly say that spending time with the saints was the best part of our trip. We didn’t even have to be in a meeting or anything; just being with the saints such as eating dinner, talking with one another, or just even walking somewhere together was so sweet. The saints gladly opened their homes to us on short notice, provided us with food, and told us to help ourselves to anything. I felt so comfortable and right at home that many times I’d forget that I was in a foreign country. The saints usually weren’t able to show us around during the day because they had to work, so dinner was usually the time when we’d fellowship together. Even though the saints were tired from the day, they would still spend time with us whenever they could.
